The school:

Lighthouse School of English was founded in 2010, and we pride ourselves on offering solely native English speaking teachers, where we want to help you learn and/or improve your English level. Our qualified teachers have extensive experience giving classes to children, teenagers and adults.

In Lighthouse School of English we believe in creating a positive learning environment where a wide variety of activities are used in the teaching of the language. We also consider extensive listening and speaking practice to be vitally important in improving fluency and pronunciation.

The Director:

Katherine Anne Tweddle, is the founder and director of Lighthouse School of English. She was born in Newcastle upon Tyne, England and studied at The University of Leeds at the College of Ripon and York St. John, Yorkshire, England, where she obtained a BA (Honours) in Language and Linguistics with Applied Social Sciences. Thereafter she obtained a Certificate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA), and worked for over ten years as an English teacher in different private schools in Europe. Then having gained a wealth of experience, she decided to open her own school here in Miguelturra, Ciudad Real.
